See now, that's what I'm talking about... loved the tutorial. Hair's not long enough but I liked none the less... :-). I get the feeling you and 2 NaturalDarkChocolate have been waiting for the return of style tutorials Lol. Thanks for watching ladies!. Nope! I ensure my hair is well moisturized and conditioned to be able to withstand the heat. The basis of my regimen is consistently employing the use of moisture in every step.I'm only 14 and I love your videos so much! Your an inspiration and I just admire you so much. I'm going to be doing a big choo for the second time in a few months. I hope my hair can be as beautiful as yours is :). Hey Doll! Congrats on making the choice to go natural! Care and diligence will ensure your hair remains beautiful and healthy. Thanks for watching! P.S. - viewers like you inspire me too! :-). Is this an old flat iron or blown out hair? Nevermind..I just checked your blog and it says blow dry for a minute. What setting..was it each section on high heat for a minute? Also, I think you said the Eden products can be found in Wal-mart? I haven't seen it in my walmart, but I do reside in the South Florida area too. Which walmart did you get it from?My hair is blow dried in 12-14 sections on high heat using the tension method (see'Mid-Week Condition/Style/Wash Routine' video). This specific line is found in 600 Walmart stores (not all). I've added a link to the post which will help you to find which store in your area carries it.

Absolutely. Unfortunately with natural hair that has any amount of length to it, it may appear that the hair is tangled when separating especially if it's wet. Yes, be assured would NEVER style natural hair without detangling first. Detangling was done as each section was separated and secured. In order to show more of the hair styling, the detangling footage was edited out. That was a very good question, thank you for watching. How do you keep freshly washed hair from retangling? I find with kinkier textures the hair likes to tangle up once again even while in sections, immediately following a wash/deep treat session.

Alright. I'm annoyed. My cousin lives in the next room and he recently became fantastic with a lot of women. The guy went to the Master Attraction website (Lookup in Google) by Jake Ayres. Now I hear him bringing girls back. He's continually getting chicks back. I can't help but hear it. It's nasty and I wish he had not discovered that site. My buddy just signed up and got a blowjob a week later. I'm jealous!Still my go to person for styling protective twists! How are you doing girl? Hope all is well, Blessings and Peace!
I love these ideas. My hair is growing out, and I can't seem to remember how style my natural hair the way I did back in the day. I need a break from daily wash and go's...
Your hair looks very healthy and manageable. I'm having a small problem with breakage using Bobby pins.any suggestions would be appreciated!

I am so glad this video popped up for me on my log in. I remember watching this when I firt big chopped and I kept saying I can't wait until my hair is that length. Well guess what it is so I will be trying some of these styles.
These styles are sooo beautiful. I can't wait until my twa grows long enough to do them. Your videos are so nicely done as well, short and to the point. Thanks!
I love these styles and the best part is that they are so simple and easy to do. I have been looking for more ways to style my hair that wouldn't take long. THANK YOU!
definitely going to try these styles after I take down my current protective style. I love your hair!Thank you so much. Can't wait until my hair is longer. I feel a bit impatient. March 29th will be a year. I had a #1 barbers cut and now I have a full head of hair and it's very long for how long ago I cut it, but I still can't wait until it's all shoulder length.

Werk it mama!!! I love every style. So simple and creative yet beautiful and your hair looks so gorgeous and healthy.
Thank you! I really needed this because I'm finding out that the texture of my hair doesn't give me the volume of some protective styles. THANK YOU!

You are simply beautiful. I love how you have the video designed to speed up the styles and you show what you putting in the hair then the finish look. These are great tutorials for the natural hair.

I love your hair styles and make up. I can't style my hair worth nothing. I can only twist my hair. It's still too short.

I love love love your vids. They always teach me something new with such a variety of hair styles! Thanks so much (-8.

Kerri, I hope you'll answer this question please :-)... now that you've done so many styles, are you still able to wear the simple wavy/curly/ ringlets look?... your hair seems so trained and almost with little to no curls/waviness... I know you'll show us how if it is possible :-)... Thanks.
Loved this video. Simple and cute... I like all styles, except the 2nd to last... LOL.. it was a bit weird for me, but still loved the video & still love Kerri... Thank you so much.. You're golden.
Girl you are bad..your styles are so sharp.. and your eyebrows and makeup are soooo beautiful...I am just trying to grow my locks back..natural hair is just wonderful...
Wow I wish I were as good as you with the smooth hands especially with the scarfs because I never knew how to tie them up and they slide all over the place. You got yours right on the very first time. Thanks for this they were wonderful ideas.
O my goodness you inspire to continue my transitioning because of the different ways I can now style my hair. Thanks 4 ur videos. God bless.
I am so glad for channels like yours and the etsy store CelebrateNatural God bless! Thanks for the inspiration.

That first style is what I do all the time with my two strand twist, but I just put a decorative hair clip in the back instead.

Thank you girl for these styles. I'm am new to my loose natural hair after wearing locs for 4yrs and I've bumped into roadblocks with what to do with my hair in two strand twists. This is why I loooovvvvve YouTube!

this was a great vid especially for me since i'm pregnant and want to color treat my hair. that mommy moment was priceless.
I would love if you could do a review for my silk hair wraps and bonnets. The wraps are good to protect your edges from getting weak from friction while sleeping. I also have silk bonnets, they protect the edges, help hair from getting lint, frizzing, keeping moisture locked in. Let me know your thoughts. FB: Sassy Swag Designs. Watch me: Sassy Sophelia. God bless!Thank you for this video. All these styles look SO CUTE on you. You just have one of those faces. I think if you wore an old towel on your head, you would still look cute. :-).

I love this on you...very nice job with the video as well. Im in a transitioning stage right now and ive been looking for videos for the two strand twist out and I feel I will give it a try...thanks :).
You are a beautiful Israelite my sister and that hair style fits you perfect. I wish more of our women would do the same. The natural beauty of our women far exceeds any false image of today's world.

I know I'm years late but I'm watching all your videos now. I cut off all my hair due to damage even though I was natural. Your two strand twists in this video came out looking like your natural curls. Btw they are beautiful curls. My question for you Is did you see a big difference between your natural curls and the two strand twists at this length? Also between the Eco styler gel and IC fantasia which did you like the best. Thank you!

What make up do you use? Have you already done a tutorial on what powders blush eyeshadow you use? Your face is flawless...the best I have seen on YT :).
love it, I twist mines out but my hair is shorter its very hard to grab. its hard work. I cant till mines get longer.
Luv it! I wish I would have been able to see the dry texture of your hair before the product was applied. It's beautiful though.

I love it! I have coarse hair as well so It takes around two hours but it looks sooo well on you, it's funky and I love it.

I just made the big chop about a month ago now. I had to cut it because it was breaking off too badly and plus I was ready to embrace my natural hair. I have coarse hair too but I will try it on my hair to see how it looks.

that nice I just try my twist dis morning i have very coarse hair but im tryin to deal wit da natural you r amazing thanks for encouragement if i didn't watch u last night i wouldnt have done your hair is beautiful keep up the good work see u soon wit some more updates.

I think you got excellent results with the twist-out. I really love the way you styled it. That said, when my hair was that short, I didn't think the effort was worth the results. I could get the same results with a wash-in-go in about 5 minutes. My hair is about 5-6 inches now and twist time is now less than an hour. Can't wait until it gets as long as yours is. Thanks for the video!

I have done my first twistout today..it took me 2hrs. also..I'm 3 1/2 months natural..can't wait until tomorrow to take them down..I hope that it will come out beautiful as yours..
You inspired me to go natural. I have Been natural since January.I will try this twist out today..If your hair is tightly coily and you need help achieving better twist outs, visit Coilyqueensrockdotcom and learn tips and products for styling and growing your tightly coily 4C hair.
It's really cute...about to do mine...been hesitant because my length is short too, but since it's spring break and the pollen is crazy outside, I have time to be patient with it. Did the gel make it crunchy? Did it last a few days?

I love your hair. Thx for the info. I did the big chop 1.5 year ago and didn't know what to do to with my hair till now. I try this the other night and it was an absolute disaster in the morning can you please tell me what you did since you quit doing the twist. Thank you.

I like it and my hair is about the same length and texture as yours. I dread spending 2 hours twisting it but I'm gonna try.
i love this... i've been looking to see how this would look on short hair. i think my hair is a little longer but im going to def try this...I don't know how you did that because I do not have the patience for that my hair is exactly the same length. I am getting bored of the same washing go to the middle stage so maybe just maybe I'll try it looks good on you though!i know you made a video about how you grew your hair out but can you please make a video on what you actually use in your hair? pleaseeee. Request: can you do a 2 strand twist. i did this last night on my hair and i will post pics on fb to let u see maybe n here as well...thx for the encoragement.
well i like it, it is cute and I am getting some really good ideals, just went natural yesterday. a friend told me to flat twist my hair before bed so i did and it was cute when i took it out. Then i went to get it trimmed and he had to pick it out to cut and it was cute. however the very back of my hair is way shorter and he didnt blend it well because i was afraid to let him. flat twist again last night and it looks completely different. frustrated. also in the Navy and have to wear hats.

Try the two strand especially with being and the navy and the hats! I feel your struggle! you need to keep a style that will keep your ends from rubbing up against the ball cap or whatever hat you have to wear that day! Thanks for serving!

my mom is getting ready to cut off all her perm she saw your video on youtube and said your hair is beautiful thank you for showing the beauty of black hair.

I would have wanted to see when you take it out and what you do after because i tried it my hair is a bit longer and it did not look so neat.
Hello I love your natural tutorials and I follo your hair guides since Ive onle been shortt nd natural for a little over a month now after cutting my 6 year locs off... Thank you for these they help alot and you hair nd styles are beautiful...Gorgeous! I bc'd yesterday and called myself doing the 2 strand twist. I did about 6 and got tired lol guess i will try again they are beautiful.I been was thinking about going natural but as i was doing my research and looking at other people hair journey, i came across you. You inspired me to just get the big chop over with. So I am scheduled to have my BC done next friday. Your hair is beautiful and keep up the good work.Your hair looks great! I've been doing the 2 strand twist on my hair for a few weeks now and wasnt sure if the result was correct, but now after seeing your hair I now know it is right...thanks! Que te vaya bein! Have a great day!Your hair looks fab. My hair's way too short for that now as I've only BC'd a week ago. But, when my hair's longer, I'll definitely try this!Just the inspiration I needed! I was debating whether I was going to attempt a twist out after my BC! !
Absolutely beautiful! I just did the big chop two months ago so this is something new I will try! How long does the twist out last? 2 hours is a long time if it doesn't last long:-).
what is your daily moisturizer after u spray the olive oil and water/what was your regimen for your twa. I really like it, I have been natural for 5 months and I needed something different so thanks for the video.
Really, cute, I'm going to try it. My problem is I have a stress spot in the top of my head..great video!
Look I have seen several of your tutorials and I like them, but you have thick full hair, what kind of styles can a person with thin not so full hair get, my hair is natural and I have been natural for 15months and when I do two strand twist they never come out looking like that...inquring minds want to know. Great video Kerry: Thanks for sharing. You were thorough. Next time show us the entire process. I am such a beginner and I need step by step instructions. The style. this is how i wear my hair everyday i love love my curls. This looks so good on you, but i have seen vid where your hair is longer now, but my hair is slow growing, don't understand i have little over this much at 8 months natural. But I am going to keep going. God Bless you. If you can think of anything I could use for my hair, plz let me know.Kerry, thank you so much for this video! I am definitely going to try this. You make it seem so easy!or is oil enough? im a little confused because everyone on youtube has a different product they reccomend. dont have the funds for it! lol! what about gel or oil? would that be enough? i dont think i own any white base cremes...hello. i just wanted to let you know that you r beautiully, wonderfully and fearfully made! I am going natural myself. I did not only do a big chop but a big SHAVE. my hair is strating to grow out a bit but ive realized that I have to take care of it NOW because its a new beginning again. I am an amature :) I had no idea of what I am doing until I started watching a few of your videos and a few others. I HAVE to do my research. I was wondering please, to do twists do u have to use a cream?
I Love it. I am NOW starting out and was afraid that there would not be any styles i can to. I really love all ur videos.

I love to do a two strand twist out on myhair, but usually is always busy.My hair length is 4inches right now. I'm going to try to do it this weekend using my African Royal Oil?Water Mix while twisting it up using carrot Oil that comes in the green container, not the oil form itself.

I love the style on you! You are beautiful (no homo) lol! Thanks for sharing..I just two strand twisted my hair tonight for the first time..hoping it turns out good in the morning.
I think it looks nice! Thanks for sharing your techniques! I'm VERY new to transitioning (last relaxer was in November) and so I'm doing alot of research on what I should and shouldn't do.I so love this look. Going natural is sooo hard to do. I hope my hair looks this good when Im done twisting it. The only thing is that your hair looks so much thicker than mine.I think that you truly did a GREAT JOB!!! Honestly you have the type of features that allow you to rock whatever hairstyle you want. You really have to come with it when you wear a short hairstyle and you did just that. Keep it up and take care. :).
2 Senorjoa don't give up. I have been watching the vids on YouTube really helps! I appreciate my sisters for sharing!!

Love it!! My hair is short like yours in this video (I'm sure it's grown out now after 2-yrs). I recently purchased a hooded dryer so now after my twists I sit for about 45 minutes to an hour under the dryer. I love the results.

I really think it looks good on you..I like the not so perfect look where ever hair is not in place, to me it makes the natural style look more exciting..
I have tried several times to go natural but never had the courage. now i'm going all out. you have inspired me. great vids. I like it!! It is so funny seeing these old videos of your hair when it was shorter. Your hair has really come along way. It's very encouraging for me to see your progression.

Right. I'm pissed. My friend resides in the adjacent room and he recently turned brilliant at seducing gals. The guy went to the Master Attraction web page by Jake Ayres (Look in Google). All he's doing now is fucking women. He's consistently bringing the hottest women back. I can't help but hear it. It's disgusting and If only he had not discovered that site. I wish my hair was thick enough for mini twist...they come out nice but it's not enough volume AT ALL.

Im Gonna Do This When My Natural Hair Gets Longer ! Right Now Im Transitiong. I Have Naturally Curly Hair But I Dont Think It Will Make A Difference !
I love this hair style!. Just got twists in my hair and keeping them in for a few months to grow it out I'm glad for this video because twits can start to look dull after a few week. This a cute way to jazz it up. Thanks!Oh good for you! Go fuck up some body else's comment section. Your idiotic comments won't go unchecked here.
Wow do you do this... I just don't have the patience to do mini twists... they either get tangled or I just get aggravated!!!

Hello, Something has been irking me and I'm trying to see if you can answer this and I hope this is not a redundant question. I want to put mini twists in my hair but I also am getting into working out and I sweat..alllooooot from my head suggestions forif this can or cannot be done without frizz and shortening the time I have to enjoy my mini twists :) hope you find this comment out of the hundreds you get.
FusionOfCultures has a video on how she deals with that. You can try aloe vera juice to close the cuticle and reduce frizz..i just finished my mini twists in like 2-3 hours my hair is shorter than yours. (13 months natural) and i plan to keep them in for 4 weeks. But i need to find some styles for my length :/. Your hair is gorgeous! Those mini twists look very good night. When i braid my hair I've always done mini twists I can't wait for my natural hair to grow in order to try it on. How long did that take to twist?
very cute hair styles i want to try mini twist but im nervous that theyre so 'mini' myhair could tangle knot and break off, but i know you've done them many times and your hair is obviously long so im sure itll be fine. i just have to get over the hump of being scared to try them lol. right now all i wear is twist outs, always... anyways i love your videos your the best. Thanks for all you do for the natural hair community!! :).

God bless you child!!! You just gave me an idea of what to do with my hair for the rest of the winter! I'm getting mini twists!!! Yippee! I have nowhere near the length you have, so sadly, extensions will be involved [someday when my coils grow up, they want to be like yours]. BTW: Hope you and your beautiful family have a blessed and Merry Christmas!!

love her...she just saved my ass a crap load of figuring out what to do with my hair for christmas...i have mini twist in that i finished today and even though im subscribed to her ive never seen this video...this is stunning and so easy...plus we have a close length of hair...im so hyped and about to curl these babies for tommorow so they'll be dry by the morning...
Thanks so much for Posting, one my friend Hipped me to your VLOGGER i did my own mini two strand twist...
I love you Whitney :D and you're hair is so beautiful but wait wait how do you get them to curl like that without using heat? :D I need a demo lol.

Because of u i luv rocking my twist which i hv in right now for the 2nd time. This is my go to for the winter months THX.

Every time i see you mini twist i get encouraged to do my twist, but when i do them, they are always so limp and do not hold a curl. How do you get your twist to hold curls? I have loved you channel it is so inspiring, i always go to your site for new styles, information and inspirations.

Excellent tips! I am always looking for inspired ideas that I can adapt for use when styling my Sisterlocks... THANK YOU Naptural85!.
this made me so happy...im going to homecoming in about a month and this is exactly the kind of hairstyle i wanted to accomplish...the only thing is my hair is not nearly as long as your beautiful curls, so i was thinking about getting extra hair twisted in with the mini twists...what do you suggest?I love your hair. Your hair is 4b in the crown, according to your stats. My hair is 4b/4c in the crown and it breaks terribly. The hair everywhere else is either 4a or 3c with very little breakage. I usually end up with achy-breaky hair until I cut it. What can I do? I've been natural a little longer than 3 and half years and my hairs are very fine; these knots usually have me breaking my hair off as well. I want to see consistent growth, please help. It's clear who the stupid one here is. -.- Yeah, you're not going to waste your time on me yet replied to me TWICE. Then you take the time to go to one of MY videos to try and post a dumb comment. Could you be more pathetic? I know it sucks to be you, but don't take it out on other people.
hello, I love your protective styles and I sent you a video response to share our favorite protective style.
It wasn't beside the point, it just revealed your stupidity. If you think natural hair is ugly WTF are you even here? Go watch people with straight hair instead of spewing hate on this woman's video. Your insecurity is showing. :). then it will get dry, crispy and break off like many of your relaxed friends!(probably like yourself). Why don't you start a hair care regimen, and get off others's backs, hater?
i love that you never use heating equipment or color to your natural hair. neither do i. to each his own, but my hair is healthiest in its natural state (without heat or color).

I love your hair and the hairstyles but I'll have to try them on a braid or twist out or something because mini twists just don't agree with me. I tried last week and they tangled up after being in my hair for 2 mins and I didn't even mix the hair smh.
I love your videos they have been so helpful...I can't wait to start trying this on my daughters hair when she's old enough!
this is Soo nice i want to try it one day i love her vids subscribe to our new channel everyone =) were excited.
I just finished my mini twist and the back was a chore. I am definitely going to flexi rod curl them. Thanks for the style ideas. Oh I almost forgot my TerrEssentials Lavender Garden shampoo should be arriving any day now. So excited! :) When I get brave enough I maybe I will do a video response. Thanks again! ;). Can u do a picture collage/slideshow of your different hair/makeup pics. Like the ones we see on your channel, twitter, etc.? Like a hair style lookbook? Just wondering! TIA either way!^__^. so much of yall keep asking for her to flat iron her hair...she doesn't use heat ppl if u follow her for long enough u would have known lolol stop being obsessed with the str8 hair look it isn't for everyone...beautiful hair girl, true inspiration, can't wait for child hair care vids :). I agree! she is giving people ideas for natural NON-HEATED HAIR...that's it. I know you would like her to heat it up, but just follow her tips people get her hair and heat your own hair up if you desire.
This is SO cute, but I don't know if I would have the patience to do mini-twists... I hope I can take a pic of Whit's hair and just pay SOMEbody to do it...
Ahhh Thanks Whitney. I have my mini twists in and am getting tired of them lol. I needed more styles. I got 6 styles so far but will try these. My twists are much smaller so next time I'm actually going to make them a little bigger.love the mini twists. they always look great on u I wish I had the patience to put them in. great video.
Did you do these twist the same way as you did in your How-to video? These look great. I think the time is worth it!

These are great styles. The different options are much appreciated. I agree that there are three styles instead of two. Very cool!
Technically 3 easy styles. Leaving it in a pony tail after taking it off your neck was super cute too ^_^. You inspire me to keep pressing in my healthy natural hair journey. I look forward to when my hair is as long as yours. Thanks for the video love both styles.
Waaaouhhh !!! et moi qui ne savait plus quoi faire avec mes vanilles !!! Génial ta vidéo ^^!!! Bonne continuation :).

I love your videos. Your hair is so pretty and it has grown so much. How many years have you been growing your hair out naturally? I have a lot of gray hair so I have been using a rinse. I have been growing my hair out for about 5 years and I do keep cutting the ends off because it is so dry (probably due to the red rinse). I have decided to let the gray grow out since I am starting to like it but I feel like I am not seeing much growth. Any suggestions??

I love your hair! Do you have a video on how you do your mini twists???? I get so much frizz when I wear them!

Can someone provide an idea as to HOW they see the back of their head? I can never make the back of my hair as even and clean as my front.
2 mirrors, one in front of you and the other behind you. You'll be able to see the back of your head reflected in the mirror that's in front of you.thats such a coindince because I wear my natural hair jsu like that first style, only with a side part lol. Everybody has a twin, even if they happen to be generations apart. You have a timeless Natalie Cole kinda beauty...a face that's "Unforgettable". Thanks for the videos!Go Whit! Go Whit! Sophisticated ladayyy. xoLK FYI: You did give me the courage to mini twist. THANK YOU x a million!Love your hair as usual. I'm about 11in long now but I can't wait to get more length to rock full mini twists. Gorgeous as always! Who would ever want straight hair if you had hair like that., you look beautiful. Oh ok! I am doing my twist now and needed to know cause I'm following your method and tomorrow will be the day I finish up my twist, hopefully I tell you it takes for ever. If you could do more hair styles with the twist ill appreciate it. I seen your last style video awesome styles :-) thanks your the best and a hair mentor to me :-).

am so loving your twist out... i try the twist out and my hair frizz what can i put in my hair to stop it from frizzing.

I've attempted twist outs with your method and it Never comes out anywhere near as good. Do you have any suggestions for someone with hair that is on the Thin and Fine. Thanks in advance.

can't wait to try this...however...it's going to be an issue when it comes time to pin the hair with the twists in their entirety. My hair is down to my butt and it's thick. That's going to be an issue. I hope it works though. It's just going to take my a hell of a long time to do this. Thanks for uploading!

I hate that I'm in the very beginning of my transition, literally day 2 :( I hope to achieve hair like yours! Lol I'm so depressed.

Girrrrlllll. Keep going!! It's well worth it. When all that relaxed hair come off, you'll be surprised at how good you feel!!

Keep going! Trust me I was feeling the same way you were (proud to say I'm 11 months natural). Take it one day at a time n you will find it becoming easier n easier. Good luck on your hair journey :D.
Naptural85- love this look but i do have one question. Are you just only using water and shea butter, with no leave-in? I'm trying this method and would really like to know. Thanks:-). I'm annoyed. My friend resides on the floor above me and he just grew outstanding at obtaining ladies. He found the Master Attraction web page (Check in Google) by Jake Ayres. Now I hear him bringing chicks back. He's constantly having chicks back. I can't help but hear it, which is yucky and I wish he never found that site. My best friend is getting laid now too coz of that site. I am envious!
I love that little trick she did while twisting. I'm never doing a mini twist out again. The same definition in so much less time who would of ever thought. This is why I love her she has so many ingenious little tricks.

I love your videos for natural hair, i'm staring to transition and i cant wait to try all the styles and methods. :).
I just did this hairstyle. Hope it comes out like yours! My hair was a little too wet i think, and i used knot today leave in conditioner. I probably messed the whole thing up : (. It was not great on the ends, or not defined enough all the way around. This is my second time trying this style with no luck. Plus, in the morning when i took it down, it was still slightly damp from me using too much leave in.Can you make a video and talk about any tips on making the hair not greasy to touch, also hair being attractive enough to touch to the other sex. your hair is so healthy! can you move in to my house and help me take care of mine? or you could adopt me. I babysit for free!!!I've seen alot of natural hair care videos but yours are the best.i like the fact that you make your own organic haircare products.i do to.keep up the great work :-).
When u had ur twists stretched across your head, I was like "with a little tweaking, that could make a cute hairstyle".
you've inspired me to try going natural, but I'm afraid it might be to short. But seeing your beautiful hair I want to try. are you in the family of the Desir I had a Haitian friend I used to hang out with she looks allot like you anyway i enjoy your videos.im just wondering what is the shortest time you can keep the braid or twist before you twist it out...(just for those on the go). Sorry, no you can't be half Jamaican. A Jamaican person is someone who was born there. Even if a person's parent is Jamaican, if the child is born in America then he/she is 100% American because that's their country of citizenship. At least, that's what I believe to be true. :).
I want that hairstyle so bad but do we have to have or hair straightened? I have been straightening my hair for a long time and want that style!

    - I love all your hair tutorials...I have recently decided to go natural and have long afro curly hair..your videos have helped me be more confident with having big long curly hair and i love it now!.

Hi, I like to know what is the name of the shay butter product that you use, I want to try this on my daughter. Thanks.
I slept with my hair like in the knots you made last night & it turned out really good! Gave me big curls!
I've been natural for 3 years now but I rarely wore it naturally curly because I could never get the curls as moisturized and defined as I wanted them. This viideo was extremely helpful. I will be doing this in the summer.

I prefer braidouts as they stretch my hair more but I do larger sections. I've gotten great braidouts but getting my hair to that awesome stretched state takes time, anyone able to get like the day or two after wash day? Curlformers are too expensive.

It does but you just gotta work your twists down after you bobby pinned them :) works for me, my hair is fine.

Thanks Naps! My hair is a bit short, but when i started stretching out my twist with bobby pins it made my twist outs look even better!!! Thanks so much!!! ♥.

Thank you so much for your videos! Not only is you're hair beautiful you and your personality are too! I never knew what natural hair was (first perm at 6 and everyone one I knew had one) until I stumbled upon one of your vids in the process of looking for a natural looking weave lol. Long story short in June 11, 2012 I big chopped and my have has never been healthier or longer.
I love your videos and I love that you use natural ingredients! Does this twist method work on Spanish hair?
The idea of pinning the twist across to keep the hair stretched is genius. Can't wait to try it this way.

Hair like that should not be permed. Her her can be naturally manipulated within it's texture without heat or chemicals which is great to maintain it's heath and flexibility. I'm tired of seeing "Kitchens" on many women who have permed hair. even celebrities, then they have to put tracts in to hide the kitchen with volume and pump.

Is this good for transitioning hair? B/c whenever I do twist outs my ends always end up being straight.
i saw someone say to start your twist out by braiding a couple inches before twisting so your roots aren't puffy and lay down a bit more. You have the most beautiful natural woman i have ever seen i thought only braidouts work on relaxed hair or hair with heat.
Hi, how do you maintain this style especially sleeping on it at night? Mine is always flat the next day and looks more nappy than curly :((( Please help!
heey I just want to say that your channel is AWESOME. You've helped me sooooooo much. If I could give you a huge bear hug right now I would ^_^.
Let me first say that this method of twisting is just phenomenal. It creates a wonderful defined twistout. But you should not call it flat twisting. You have invented a new way to twist with this. I have ben coming back and forth to this video because i really wanted to do this method since you first introduced it but by calling it a flat twist could not get it. A flat twist has slightly connected sections. While your method emphasizes dividing the section. Once i realized that it finally.

she didn't invent this you know. I've been watching natural hair videos since 08 and have seen this technique all over the place. The second someone popular does something people think they invented it.

clicked. I (both me and my natural friend) had assumed that i/we could not do it because the texture of my/our hair was slightly different and it just made me look like a frizz ball. But it was because i was flat twisting. People need to know that they can do this, it may just be a matter of stop thinking like a flat twist and separate the sections fully. Take the credit Whitney you invented a new way of twisting. Thanks Queen!
I'm a transitioner and I do exactly what this video says for a transitioning style. I love it! I called it "bantu twist out"!hey-question.. So im 17 and getting ready to go to college and do my own hair. I've been under the impression (I have a hair texture similar to Naptural) that when "detangling", you have to get rid of all the knots and kinks...every...single...one..-lol. is this true my natural sistahs?Hey ! This is really cute ! I know you probably get this a lot but why don't you use heat in your hair ?Love your channel! I have learned so much from your episodes. I just got my curl formers in the mail and I'm washing my hair now to get ready for that set. I'll try your twist out method next. Thank you so much for all that you do - keep it coming! God bless.
You're right, sweetie. We are a country, with people of all races, but most of us very black and very proud.
Yes Jamaican is a nationality. It's not an ethnicity. It would be like saying " I'm half American". The original person was correct about bot being able to be half Jamaican.Has ur hair alwayd been that long? Mine goes down to my shoulders and i want it to be ad long ad urs. What else can i do to get it like urs. Also are u black african? (i am) or black carabiean ?
This is so nice,im going to try this hair style in the summer, make some more videos. i would love to learn many more ways to have my natural hair look at it's best. Thank you & keep doing what you do best :).

It was not easy but when you are determined and have drive...you can do anything. I used hot water, Kinky Curly "Knot Today, prayer, patience and a sewing needle.
Well aren't you just frickin awesome! I'm so glad I went natural. I finally have all the relaxer out that took since October 2012. At first it was hell but since it's all natural, I'm having so much fun learning and am now going to be obsessed with your videos. Thanks for explaining how to do these styles with great detail. You're the best!

I LOVE IT.can u do more for my hair because my hair is short like down to my shoulders can u just make a video for my type of hair plzz i need help. :))). So pretty really inspiring & helpful for me since im about begin my journey! I hope you have videos for beginners.
I'm still trying to figure out how do you keep your hair curly for the next day, my hair turns into a frizzed out afro with in 4 hours everyday.
My twists sometimes tend to unravel or loosen, and even when i do that twist curl thing at the end, the ends stay straight, but its been two years since my last perm and a month since it was simply straightened (no perm im not getting anymore perms). If you didn't cut off the permed hair then that will happen. Not perming it any more doesn't revert it back to it's natural state. o3o. Oh to answer what has worked for me with shorter hair. I motified the pineapple method for my hair. I use about four pony tail holders in four sections and make a down ward ponytail to stretch the hair and keep the curls. It works just fine and my twist outs last so long. I can't fit my whole hair in one pony trail either but one day my hair will be long enough to!
I've been an active viewer for over a year now. How did I not see this?? I don't think I've seen this video before XD Love it!

Love your tutorials! You make it look super easy, but I'm sure I'll still manage to mess it up, lol! :).
lmbo... i said the SAME THING about that plaid shirt RIGHT BEFORE you did! lololol I love the stretching method with the satin scrunchy... and one day I'll have to try that type of twist out ((whenever I remember)) : ). omg, I see Olivia in your face at the end, the big smile and happy eyes looking to the side^__^lol. Merry Xmas.
wow your hair definetly looks healthier in your recent videos. it looks more moisturized on your recent videos. I love your hair!.

Also be more aware of what you should tell people and what you shouldn't. If I were Nap, I would find that comment obnoxious, even if you're saying the hair now is more moisturized. Especially when we all know how healthy it was and how she took care of it even back then.
im gonna give this ONE MORE TRY -_- I'll be 11 months natural tomorrow amd my twistouts be looking like all my life i had to fight.LMAO i almost choked on my water reading your comment!!!!! girl so do mine!! I'll be happy once i get this down it looks so much better this way!have you ever heard of or used a Keratin treatment? is it really good, this salon I went to charges $80 for a treatment that lasts for 8 months.
Very nice I'll be trying this next. I'm long transitioning. Also for anyone looking to learn how to do 2 strand wrist w added hair please check me out ; missharrisisthebest. Thanks for the inspiration.

hi i wanna try a twistout your way but my hair is not as long. i am a year natural. to make the style last longer what can i do bc i don't ha a long ponytail to put in a bun to peserve the twist shape.
in regards to the new year king james version exodus 12:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
I'm not good at twist out...my hair never lays down like that. I guess I will try wrapping it up like you like you did.
I am natural as well. I think ima get back in the habit of twistouts every week because my hair is tightly coiled when not twisted out. But when I lay dwn at night with the twists they get flat...how do I keep that from happening?
You can't really keep your twists from getting flat at night, but what I do is moisturize my hands and just lightly pick up the flat hair to fluff it out. and then reshape it to style.

I really love this video nd imma try that to my hair wen I take this braids out cuz I'm tired of perms lol.

Thank you for all your tips, suggestions, and knowledge. You are helping me so very much with my natural journey. I just wish I could determine my hair type. I can't tell if I'm 3b or 4 O_o.
I just love your hair... I can't wait until I'm there! What song is this playing in the background please?I have hair that doesn't stay twisted either, when you find out anything pleaseeeee let me know ! thanks. oh random question, i can never find ponytail holders wide or strong enough to hold the width of my thick natural hair. Any chain store suggestions of where I can get one. Thanks?great video as always. thanks for all your hair tips. if it werent for you all making videos on youtube i honestly would have no idea how to do my natural hair.
I have a question. I love braid out's and twist outs and the easy wear-ability. However I find it makes my hair so dry. How do I avoid the dry hair blues while rocking this hairstyle?

When you add water, add your sealant (oil or something like that) right afterwards to seal in the moisture.

I hope you see this and that you haven't already answered... where can I find satin scrunchies?!?!? :).

Got dang! your fuckin natural and sexy...we should get together and i'll buy you everything you need for your hair and then then maybe you can make some playa type of twist in my hair...ya know, the ones with the two bangs at the front haha, but for real tho you are sexy and your hair is beautiful baby. Holla back ok strawberry.
Thank you for the inspiration, i had gotten so lazy with taking care of my hair. I been doing your twist out methods and loving it!
Not if you want defined curls Its the time that you allow the damp hair to sit in twists that actually helps acquire the curl texture.

My hair is medium length, 4b, 4c and I can never keep the curl definition in my hair after the twists come out. I use Aloe Vera Gel and Coconut Oil and it very defined for one day, then the next day my hair is a frizzy mess. The twists come loose, the hair is very soft and stretched but no curl definition. Do you have any suggestions?

does anyone know what she's spritzing on her hair when she's fixing it the way she likes for the day?
This hairstyle looks so awesome. I really wanna try it but I think my hair is too long plus I'd have to talk my mom into letting me T^T aiyaaa.
can you tell me the names of the products you used in this video? im new natural & idk the types of products to buy.

oh the products depends on your hair type..Have you figured out your hair type..I'd be glad to help ;).
Ey Whitney...for us Subbies that love you so much but don't have as tight curls can you make an ultra defined BRAID out video?thank you so much - grow my hair out very long with a wearing a wig - now I know the next style (without a wig) I will be wearing without damaging my hair.
LOVE the video! your hair is absolutely beautiful. I am a 41 yr old woman who has been relaxing my hair since i was 11. During my college yrs i braided my hair. And have alternated braids/relaxer ever since. This year I decided to try the twist. i have been letting the relaxer grow out since June but it is still a bit straight. Will it take a twist? And how do i get the ends to stay twisted? Your ends are trained but mine aren't. A friend suggested Bee's wax. Is that okay?

Oh MY!! I LOVE IT. your hair is just GORGEOUS. I went natural about 4 years ago and I now have shoulder length hair.. Its so thin though and I was wondering if you have any idea how I can create fullness...

you cant create fullness. voluminous hair is genes. some ppl are born with thin some born with thick and full. u were born like that and that will never change.
These videos make me want to learn how to do my own hair. The only thing I can really do are ponytails and stuff :/. You are absolutely wonderful; a natural teacher! I am in sheer anticipation of growing my natural hair out long enough to try this style! Thank you for sharing with the masses!Hi Naptural85: Still loving your videos. Question: Do you think you can do another closeup of the "twisting on itself?" I think I see what you're doing but it still looks like your regular method. Thanks!
OMG!!I LOVE YOUR HAIR S0O0O0 MUCH ITS MAKING ME SICKKKK>>LOLOLOLOL..i had to say that out loud!..but keep up the good work bc i love yr videos..( =.
You Know im Hispanic my bf is African American and i told him that ever since i was little i wanted your kind of hair.. and well now i b glad to use your help full videos when i need to fix our babies hair thanks!!!! :). Your hair is so beautiful!!! I am just starting to let my hair grow out and let go of the relaxers I've grown addicted to, and I really hope that my natural hair is half as beautiful as yours! I am trying to do it without the big chop, so I have been trying the braid out method since I haven't figured out how to twist out just yet. I figure it's just about what works for each individual but your methods are certainly working for you! I have never seen you have a bad hair day. Keep it up and thx!
2 superpizzaguy1, that is not true. She can transition and then when she is ready remove the relaxed ends.
Hey, this tutorial is really cool. I think I'd try to do it, but first Iwanted to ask you something. How long is your hair actually, because mine is like 3inc below the shoulders, and the other thing is - my hair is thick and curly, but not that afro-texture curly, do you think I can succeed in doing it?
